St. John’s on Olive Ave. in Florence is opening its doors this Saturday December 1 for an open house from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. It is also offering free child care for those shopping at “Christmas in Florence” at Florence High School. Feel free to drop off your children, ages 1 – 11, at St. John’s while you shop. Playtime, story time and refreshments will be provided. St. John’s is located next to the high school and library.

We will be changing the service time at St. Paul’s in Tipler. Previously, it has been on Saturday at 4:30pm. As of July 16th, it will be Sunday at 7:15am.
May 29th will be Rev Zeratsky’s last Sunday conducting regular worship for the Tri-Parish. The churches have agreed to have one joint service at St. John’s in Florence at 9:00 am with a meal to follow. We hope to see you there!
The public is invited to join St. John’s and Mt. Olive Lutheran Churches for a joint meal and worship service to celebrate the ascension of Christ. Please come to St. John’s, Florence on Thursday, May 5th. All are welcome to join in the meal to be served at 5:30 pm with worship to follow at 6:30 pm. The guest preacher will be Pastor Stephen Lehman. We look forward to seeing you there!
St. John’s Lutheran Church will host their annual community Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. This meal is free to all people in the community. Hunters are welcome!
Come join us to celebrate the festival of the Reformation and once again rejoice that we have the truth of God’s word as the unchangeable bedrock of our saving faith. With the sure word of God as our foundation, we have perfect confidence in the truth of our Lord and the truth of our own salvation by Jesus Christ alone!
Our worship service will begin at 4pm Central Time at Grace Lutheran in Powers, MI. Following the service there will be fellowship time with a potluck meal. Please bring a cold dish to share.
There will be a children’s party on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015 from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm for 3-year-olds through 6th grade.
God’s Bounty – Harvest Party will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Students can ride the school bus over. Activities include music, gifts, crafts, games, treats, and praise to God for our blessings!
