The Women of St. John’s met on October 1st at 4:30 with 12 members present. After\u00a0a\u00a0\u00a0devotion by Pastor Zeratsky\u00a0 the meeting was\u00a0opened by Jan Jonet.\u00a0\u00a0We then\u00a0met with Rick Lund, the Council President to discuss the responsibilities of the the\u00a0Women,s Group\u00a0and how we could state this clearer in\u00a0our Constitution and By-Laws.\u00a0This will be worked on at the same time as the Protocol Manual is worked on. We also discussed how “nice” the church looks and that the 125th Anniversary weekend went perfectly!<\/p>\n
In new business, we will be organizing a pasty sale and saving Super One and Econo Foods \u00a0grocery receipts in order to purchase red paraments for the church. The pasty sale will be\u00a0October 26 -27. It was voted and approved to send $100 to the Martin Lutheran College – Early Childhood Learning Center which will soon be opening.<\/p>\n
The Women of the Church Christmas party is tentatively set for\u00a0December 8th\u00a0at Maxsells\u00a01-3:00. Save the date!<\/p>\n
